Overview
Scottsdale guidance with a photo-first luxury approach
A strong listing does not start with the MLS. It starts with the first impression at the curb, the feeling at the front door, and the way every room photographs. This checklist keeps preparation practical.
Entry and curb appeal
Freshen the front door, sweep hardscape, trim plants, remove hoses and clutter, clean glass, update tired mats, and make the entry feel calm before showings.
Kitchen and living spaces
Clear counters, remove personal papers, simplify shelves, clean appliances, hide cords, improve lighting, and keep furniture arranged for easy movement.
Bedrooms and closets
Edit closets, simplify nightstands, remove excess furniture, use neutral bedding, and make storage areas look organized rather than full.
Backyard and pool
Clean pool tile, remove weeds, stage outdoor seating, check landscape lighting, clean grill areas, and make the yard feel like usable living space.
Before listing photos
- Replace burned-out bulbs and use consistent color temperature where possible.
- Remove pet items, laundry, trash cans, magnets, countertop appliances, and excess decor.
- Schedule cleaning, window washing, landscape touch-up, pool service, and handyman items before media day.
- Open blinds, turn on lights, and give every room a clear purpose.
- Review showing instructions, security needs, pet plans, and preferred showing windows.
